DESCRIPTION
1. Cabinet housing
made of (9 gauge / 3 mm) thick, folded and welded sheet
steel.
2. Key-locked safety access door disconnects power to the
unit when the door is opened. Access door on the front
(road) or rear side available.
3. Upper cover is (3mm, 9 gauge) thick, folded and welded
sheet steel, security locked.
4. Barrier Arm: Round extruded aluminum tube, white enamel
finish with red reflecting stripes. The arm consists of
three (3) interlocking sections with an end cap. Standard
arms are always fitted on the left side of the cabinet.
5. Rigid skirt formed by a frame constructed of square steel
profiles of 30 x 30 mm, with hot-galvanized steel wire
lattice work. In the standard version, the unit is painted
white, except for the wire lattice.
6. Stainless steel rods absorbing the tension of the wire
lattice on its frame.
7. Barrier arm rotating shaft mounted on twin ball bearings.
8. Barrier arm “45º balanced” achieved by means of
integrated adjustable extension springs.
9. Electromechanical assembly includes:
• 1/3 HP, heavy-duty, AC single or three phase
instant-reversing motor, with life-lubricated speed
reduction gearbox, with worm screw type mechanism.
• Crankshaft/rod device with rubber abutments ensuring
smooth, flexible movements, and progressive decelerations at
the end of the movements.
• Safety torque limiter with adjustable friction disks. (HD
Safety Clutch). • Limit switches, activated by adjustable
cams.
• Transmission between motor and gearbox, by trapezoidal
pulleys and V-belt.
10. AS Controller: Logic control includes:
Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) with monitoring screen.
12 standard inputs. 8 standard outputs. 3 built in vehicle
detectors.
• 3-pole changeover contactors,
• Thermo overload protection includes:
• fuses,
• control relay,
• additional programming dip switches,
• connection blocks for motor,
• connection blocks for limit switches,
• terminal blocks for external connections,
• test switches for opening and closing
11. Integrated heater for low temperature locations and
humidity control
12. Emergency crank with safety circuit breaker for manual
operation of the barrier in the event of a power failure
13. Tip support: Electromagnetically locking tip support:
(Supplied as an option).
14. Optional recessed installation template (steel base
frame), which is provided for attaching the barrier to the
ground using expansion bolts or threaded rods.
